USED Colt/Remington Rand 1911 pistol in .45 ACP

This is an interesting piece of history! The slide is marked Remington Rand Inc Syracuse, NY U.S.A. The frame, we are told, is of Colt manufacture but the serial # is not searchable on the Colt website. We are happy to provide the serial # upon request. Arched mainspring housing and early style thumb safety. Finish displays appropriate wear for a firearm of this vintage that was reasonably well cared-for. Disassembly scratches, wear to the dustcover, trigger guard, front strap, and muzzle seem indicative of holster wear. Breechface is quite clean and the barrel shows some finish wear from having been shot.
